ABEI Energy has successfully completed the construction of the Gazules photovoltaic (PV) plant, a 35.17 MWp project that represents a new milestone within the company’s growing renewable energy portfolio in Spain.
The project highlights ABEI Energy’s strong execution capabilities under an EPC model, having been developed and delivered entirely by its in-house teams. From initial development through to construction, all phases have been executed in line with the company’s rigorous standards for quality, safety, and operational coordination.
During the construction phase, the project generated approximately 250 jobs, contributing to local economic activity and supporting regional development. This socio-economic impact reinforces ABEI Energy’s commitment to delivering projects that create value beyond energy generation.
Once operational, the Gazules PV plant is expected to produce around 72 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to supply the equivalent of more than 15,600 households. In environmental terms, the project will avoid approximately 20,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, contributing to Spain’s decarbonization targets and the broader energy transition.
With construction now completed, the project enters its final commissioning and pre-operational stages, moving closer to full commercial operation and integration into the grid.
The Gazules plant reflects ABEI Energy’s ability to deliver utility-scale renewable infrastructure efficiently and reliably, strengthening its position as a key player in the European renewable energy sector.
“The successful completion of Gazules is a testament to the strength of our EPC model and the dedication of our teams. Each milestone brings us closer to a more sustainable, low-carbon energy system.”
ABEI Energy remains committed to expanding its renewable footprint and developing high-impact projects that combine technical excellence, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
