Madrid, October 16th, 2025 — ABEI Energy continues to make steady progress on the development of the Avellanosa Wind Farm, a 50 MW project located in Burgos (Spain), reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the country’s energy transition.
Following the start of construction, the project has entered a key execution phase, with significant progress already achieved across civil works and site preparation activities. Developed under a full EPC model, Avellanosa reflects ABEI Energy’s integrated approach and technical expertise in delivering large-scale renewable infrastructure.
The wind farm will be equipped with 8 Nordex N175/6.X turbines, one of the most advanced technologies available in the market, designed to optimize energy production and efficiency. Once operational, the project is expected to generate renewable electricity sufficient to power thousands of households, while avoiding significant CO₂ emissions annually.
Despite recent challenging weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, construction activities have continued to move forward according to plan, demonstrating the project team’s adaptability and strong execution capabilities.
Current on-site progress includes:
- Foundations: ongoing execution works, ensuring structural integrity, load capacity, and geometric precision.
- Crane pads (assembly platforms): preparation and optimization of operational areas for turbine installation, enhancing accessibility and maneuverability.
- Electrical infrastructure: civil works for the substation and evacuation line are underway, laying the groundwork for future energization of the project.
This phase is critical in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as the long-term performance and reliability of the asset.
The Avellanosa Wind Farm also highlights ABEI Energy’s ability to manage complex projects under varying site conditions. The company’s approach combines rigorous planning, on-site adaptability, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and timelines, ensuring that each milestone is delivered efficiently.
Beyond its technical scope, the project contributes to the sustainable development of local communities, generating economic activity and supporting the transition towards a cleaner energy model.
“Progress in renewable energy is built both in planning and on-site execution. Every phase matters, especially in dynamic environments where adaptability and precision are key.”
ABEI Energy continues to strengthen its renewable portfolio across Europe, delivering projects that combine innovation, reliability, and long-term sustainable value.
