ABEI Energy Advances Engineering Phase of Tabernas I & II PV Project in Southern Spain

Madrid, April 9, 2026 — ABEI Energy continues to make steady progress in the development of the Tabernas I & II photovoltaic (PV) project, located in the Tabernas Desert (Almería), one of the regions with the highest levels of solar irradiation in Europe.

With a total installed capacity of 105.9 MWp, the project is currently in its preliminary engineering phase, a critical stage in which the technical, environmental, and design foundations of the project are being fully defined. During this phase, ABEI Energy’s multidisciplinary teams are carrying out detailed studies and analyses to ensure that the future construction process meets the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

This preparatory stage includes advanced engineering design, resource assessment, environmental impact evaluations, and technical modeling, all essential to optimizing plant performance and ensuring seamless project execution. Each assessment and decision made at this point plays a decisive role in maximizing long-term asset value and operational reliability.

The Tabernas I & II project reflects ABEI Energy’s strong engineering-driven approach, where rigorous planning and technical precision form the basis of every development. By prioritizing engineering excellence from the outset, the company ensures that its renewable assets are not only technically robust but also fully aligned with future energy system requirements.

Located in a high-potential solar hub, the project aims to harness the region’s natural resources to deliver clean, reliable, and competitively produced renewable energy, contributing to Spain’s decarbonization goals and the broader energy transition.

“Before we build, we engineer. The energy transition begins long before construction starts—with every calculation, every model, and every informed decision.”

ABEI Energy reaffirms its commitment to transforming solar potential into well-designed, future-ready renewable infrastructure, supporting the sustainable growth of clean energy across key markets.
